Halestorm on Rockline!

The choice for this year's first live show was easy; we wanted the band from Pennsylvania with the jaw-dropping, hair-raising vocalist and ultra-talented players, we wanted Halestorm.

Last spring we heard their first single, "I Get Off" and did indeed get off on it, so we decided we wanted to extend an invite for the band to join us. The only problem is that we don't offer brand new bands with only one single an entire ninety minute show. We do enjoy helping new bands we believe in, so occasionally we'll invite two bands to join us, sharing a show. It's a long standing policy of the show which has worked with great success.

The list of artists who began visiting ROCKLINE by appearing on a half show is impressive and seemingly endless, Creed, Three Days Grace, Korn, Puddle of Mudd, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Seether and on and on. In fact, essentially every band begins appearing on our show by splitting a show with someone else. There are several reasons we do it this way (beyond the obvious), not the least of which being the band's ability to generate enough phone calls to keep the show interesting. No band with only one single had ever been offered an entire show. But we felt something special going on with Halestorm, rolled the dice and offered them an entire show which was broadcast on June 29, 2009. Halestorm blew out our phone lines like veterans working on their 6th or 7th album.

Making the selection for our first live show of decade two of the 2000's was an obvious and easy choice for us and once our invitation was accepted we were off and running. This band has a proclivity for making phones ring, so, it's best to get your call in early as Halestorm joins us for our next ROCKLINE! Monday night starting at 11:30pm on Z102!
